Monday 3 May 2010 St Julien-de-Concelles to MontJean-sur-Loire

Monday 3 May 2010 St Julien-de-Concelles to MontJean-sur-Loire 59km

The weather has returned to winter.  Our warm riding gear was dragged out today as we rode in less than 10degC and a huge headwind all day.

As usual we stocked up on bread and yummies as soon as we saw a patisserie but today saw us buy a little more to stave off the cold.  We are now riding the Loire a Velo trail and it's well signposted and not too hilly as it follows the river.

Got to MontJean and saw a caravan park (with WiFi thankfully) and called it a day as it was hard riding today even though we only did 59km.  We even grabbed a bottle of wine so will warm ourselves up tonight with our first French wine.

There seems to be a lot of references to baguettes and pastries. Are you peddling or eating your way through France.
