Pondering while off the bikes

We're in Perth on an errand for the next few days so no cycling for us.  While cruising my favourite cycling websites and blogs I came across this quote on the EcoVelo site:

"It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle."  Ernest Hemingway

I assume you are back down south. I'm waiting for the next instalment on the blog. I need a bit of a bon voyage message!! Going off to the company dinner dance; the theme is Movies or Movie stars; I am tryig to convince AWG he should go as Austin Powers ( I even found a costume at a hire place!!)....he's not coming to the party. Of course that would mean I would be Felicity Shagwell!!!!!!!!! Hope the preparations for the big trip are all finalised. Love KB
