Tuesday 13 April Little Pennard to Bridgewater

Tuesday 13 April Little Pennard to Bridgewater 42km

-- Brief update sent from my phone as no Internet access --

After three wonderful days with Eleanor and Greyson we did a Willie
Nelson and were "on the road again". The only reason we are going via
Bridgewater is to get Sandy some new forks with a longer steerer to
raise her handlebars a bit. Now that I've had a walk through
Bridgewater I'd say that's still the only reason to come to Bridgewater.

The legs felt good today although Sandy is still a bit snotty. We
rode some nice quiet lanes today and all through little villages, lots
of 'love rides' (where we can ride side by side). Saw three badgers
today, alldead on the road but they're the only badgers I've seen.
I've always wanted to see a badger and after our lunch with David,
Xena, Stephen & Jane who are/were local farmers we learnt all about
badgers. Apparently that are not the cute critters I had thought them
to be.

We got to bridgewater after a leisurely ride and checked into our B&B
then took the bikes to SJS Cycles which were we originlly bought them
from. They don't have a shop front per se but do the vast majority of
their business online. Spoke to Fan the mechanic assigned to us who
is going to change the forks, put smaller chainrings on and give the
bikes a good goinig over. Excellent service.
